What we offer

Practical help, at no cost, close to home

OzarkSpark is delivered by the Startup Junkie Foundation team. Assistance may be available at community locations in your county, at the Startup Junkie Foundation office, by telephone or virtually.

Whether you are weighing a first business idea or working through a growth decision, start with a conversation. We will match you with the right kind of help.

  1. One-on-one business consulting

Work directly with a Startup Junkie consultant on your plan, your numbers, your marketing or the decision in front of you.

  2. Workshops and business training

Practical sessions on starting, running and growing a small business, offered in the service area and online.

  3. Mentoring

Connect with experienced founders and operators who understand what it takes to build a business in a rural market.

  4. Access-to-capital guidance

Understand your funding options, from microloans and community lenders to grants, and get help preparing to apply.

  5. Technical assistance for starting or growing a business

Hands-on help with the practical steps of launching or expanding, from planning through implementation.

For economic developers, chambers and community leaders

Bring an OzarkSpark workshop to your community

We hold workshops where communities ask for them. If you work with entrepreneurs in one of our nine counties — through a chamber, an economic development office, a city or county, a library or a community group — tell us what your people need and where.

  1. Tell us about your community

Where the workshop should be held, who would attend and the topics that would help most.

  2. We collect interest by area

As requests build in your part of the region, we plan the workshop into the OzarkSpark program calendar. Every request counts toward that.

  3. We follow up with dates

The team proposes dates and topics, then coordinates the venue and promotion with you.
