Startup Junkie to Launch Business Guide & Workshop Series with City of Fayetteville, Help Entrepreneurs Move from Idea to Launch

Startup Junkie is excited to announce the upcoming launch of the Fayetteville Business Starter Kit, a new initiative built in partnership with the City of Fayetteville’s Department of Economic Development to give residents, entrepreneurs, and small business owners a clearer path from idea to opening day.

Delivered by Startup Junkie alongside the City’s Department of Economic Development, the Starter Kit will launch with a series of live webinars and will be followed by a library of practical online guides focused on the day-to-day mechanics of opening a business in Fayetteville — including, but not limited to licensing, permitting, zoning and regulatory requirements, and the local resources that can help at each step.

“Most of the friction founders run into early on isn’t about the idea, it’s not knowing where to start, who to call, or what step actually comes next,” said Caleb Talley of Startup Junkie. “This event and the webinars that will follow, help bring those answers to you, in plain language, and feature the people who can actually help in real time.”

The webinar series will be hosted by Startup Junkie, with each session featuring relevant subject-matter experts and key points of contact for the topic at hand. Sessions are free, open to the public, and recorded so the conversations become a permanent resource on the City’s website.

Attendees are encouraged to submit questions in advance to be answered during the webinars. Questions can be submitted at https://forms.gle/Zd8b1Lse2QBoJt6QA.

The scheduled webinars include:

Starting a Business in Fayetteville: First Steps

June 5, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

Starting a Business in Fayetteville: Restaurants, Food Trucks, and Bars

June 11, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

Starting a Business in Fayetteville: Retail Trade

June 18, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

Alongside the webinar series, the Starter Kit will include a set of practical online guides designed around a single, simple question: How do I start a business in Fayetteville?

The guides will walk users through the core building blocks — forming a business, establishing a legal entity, obtaining the right licenses, and understanding the additional requirements that apply to restaurants, bars, hospitality businesses, and retail operations — with direct connections to the city, county, state, and federal resources at each step.

“Fayetteville has a vibrant entrepreneurial community, and this project meets its energy with the kind of practical, on-the-ground support that helps more ideas actually make it to opening day,” said Startup Junkie founder and managing director Jeff Amerine. “We’re proud to partner with the City to make starting a business here as straightforward as it should be.”

The Fayetteville Business Starter Kit guides will be refined over the live webinar sessions and deployed this summer will be rolled out and made available through the City of Fayetteville’s and Startup Junkie’s websites.
