Fayetteville, AR | The Northwest Arkansas Kiva Hub, facilitated by the Startup Junkie Foundation, has announced a milestone achievement: $1 million in interest-free loans provided to empower and support local entrepreneurs. This extraordinary achievement will be celebrated with the community at the $1 Million Milestone Celebration on February 22 at TheatreSquared in Fayetteville.
Since its inception, the Kiva NWA hub has supported over 100 local entrepreneurs who have faced financial and societal barriers. Through the support of crowdfunded microloans, these business owners have not only turned their dreams into reality but also contributed to the vibrant and budding economic landscape of Northwest Arkansas.
“We’re immensely proud of our entire community for their tireless efforts in providing essential services to Northwest Arkansas,” said Harrison Kitson, Kiva Program Associate. “We’re excited to celebrate the collective success of the past four years, and we invite the NWA small business community to join us in commemorating this milestone!”
The celebration promises to be an evening filled with excitement and inspiration, highlighting the culinary talents of Kiva borrowers and featuring a live performance by notable Arkansas Americana Artist of the Year nominee, Ashytn Barbaree.
As a token of appreciation for Kiva NWA supporters, the first 50 attendees will receive special Kiva NWA Moscow Mule Mugs, and an exclusive raffle featuring a Square Reader will be open to all Kiva borrowers. Additionally, the event will signal a significant step forward for Kiva NWA with the premiere of their brand-new marketing video.

About Kiva NWA
Kiva NWA is a Fayetteville-based microlending platform, facilitated by Startup Junkie Foundation and supported by the Walton Family Foundation, dedicated to providing financial access to entrepreneurs in Northwest Arkansas. The program believes in character over credit and the power of community-based lending. Because of these beliefs, they provide funding opportunities for entrepreneurs where conventional lenders can’t. Through Kiva NWA, borrowers and small businesses can crowdfund interest-free business loans ranging from $1000 to $15,000.
If you’re a small business owner looking to receive a loan through the NWA Kiva Hub, you can contact their Capital Access Manager Claudia Scott at nwa@local.kiva.org or 479.264.5856 with any questions or for no cost-assistance with the application process.
