Startup Junkie is thrilled to be part of the global efforts to make GEW a resounding success. From November 13th-16th, they will host a series of events in Northwest Arkansas, dedicated to empowering existing and aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners. These events will offer exciting competitions, invaluable experience, a platform to share insights, and the crucial connections needed for success. This year, Startup Junkie has expanded its event lineup with the aim of reaching an even greater number of entrepreneurs.

Join Startup Junkie in the afternoon for the Lunch & Learn Series: Productivity and Workflow Workshop. Explore the benefits of an organized work environment, including improved time management, enhanced collaboration, and optimized productivity. Get valuable insights and tips from the Organizer Chicks, esteemed experts in organization, on crafting efficient workflows and enjoy a complimentary lunch provided by Startup Junkie.

The second Coffee Crawl event is set to take place at Arsaga’s Mill on School Avenue from 8:00-9:00 am. Attendees will have the privilege of listening to two remarkable speakers. Bo Counts, the founder of Pinpoint Bar and a former show host, will share his valuable insights. Additionally, Deric Cahill, the founder of Wicked Bold Chocolate and author of Zero to Side Hustle, will also be presenting.

Startup Stories invites the Northwest Arkansas community to connect with the Founder of the Hunger and Action Gym, Mariano Quinones, as he shares his story of combining entrepreneurship with a commitment to giving back to the community. Attend this event, happening from 5:30 – 7:30pm CST at the Hunger and Action gym in Springdale.

1 Million Cups Bentonville invites entrepreneurs and the NWA community to connect in an inclusive space. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear business pitches, provide feedback, enjoy free coffee, and network. This event takes place from 8:00-9:00 am at The Collaborative in Bentonville and is a weekly occurrence.

The Student Expo is a networking and inspiration platform, where attendees and employers can meet student founders, vote for the People’s Choice Award sponsored by Startup Junkie, and engage with remarkable leaders and innovators. This event showcases exceptional businesses and projects by students in Northwest Arkansas and will take place at the University of Arkansas’ Brewer Family Entrepreneurship Hub from 5:30-7:30pm.

GEW’s final event will be the IdeaFame Pitch Competition with Canopy NWA. This event will take place at the Jones Center in Springdale from 5:30-7:00 pm, giving participants 60-seconds to pitch their idea for a business for a chance to win one of two $1,000 prizes. Canopy NWA’s Entrepreneurship program accepts any foreign-born person with a passion to start a business to participate in their classes. Anyone is welcome to attend or register to pitch their idea for a business.
Each event is free and open to the public.
The impact of GEW goes far beyond just one week in November. The knowledge, connections, and resources gained during this event can be utilized by entrepreneurs throughout the entire year. Whether it’s through networking or participating in competitions and events, GEW provides a platform for entrepreneurs to not only showcase their ideas but also receive feedback and support to turn those ideas into successful businesses.
