The Fall 2020 cohort of Commercialization Fellows with the Science Venture Studio (SVS) has ended, and the application is now open for the Spring 2021 Commercialization Fellow Internship.

Startup Junkie, which oversees SVS, hired four outstanding students this Fall and were each paired with a different company that worked individually with SVS in preparing and submitting Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) proposals.

John Alumbaugh, a computer science Ph.D. student, was paired with TruckISH, a company that has developed a fleet management platform to aid in the supply chain. Alumbaugh supported TruckISH in drafting the commercialization portion of a USDA SBIR Phase I proposal that was submitted on October 22nd and he aided in market research as well as provided technical review for an NSF SBIR Phase I proposal that the company submitted on December 2, 2020.
