Startup Junkie, Razorback Basketball Team Up for Special IdeaFame Pitch Competition

Do you have an idea for a new product or service? Are you ready to pitch that idea for a chance at $1,000? Do you want to pitch that idea in one of the finest college basketball facilities in the country? Here’s your chance.

Startup Junkie and the University of Arkansas Men’s Basketball team are joining forces to host the first-ever IdeaFame pitch competition in the University of Arkansas Basketball Performance Center. The event will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 26, just before the Arkansas-Tennessee men’s basketball game.

The IdeaFame pitch competition will kick off at 6 p.m., inside the state-of-the-art, 12,280-square-foot basketball practice facility. Following the competition, everyone with tickets to the game will be escorted to Bud Walton Arena to watch Arkansas take on SEC rival Tennessee at 7 p.m.

Each participant will have just 60 seconds to pitch his or her idea before the scoreboard buzzer sounds off. A panel of judges from the athletic department and the audience will each pick a winner – both will receive $1,000!

Those interested in pitching or attending the competition must register here. You must register to attend in order to be granted exclusive access to the Razorback Basketball facility. IdeaFamers interested in attending the basketball game can purchase a $10 Startup Junkie section ticket here. All attendees must purchase a ticket in order to enter Bud Walton Arena, where the checks will be presented to the Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice pitch winners following the competition.

A ticket will be provided to those who sign up to participate in the IdeaFame pitch competition – no purchase necessary. Attendees who wish to attend the game must purchase a ticket. Tickets purchased via our special Startup Junkie link will be seated in the same section.
