Startup Junkie Foundation Expands Services Throughout Rural Northwest Arkansas

Startup Junkie Foundation has expanded its service area beyond Washington and Benton counties to empower innovators and entrepreneurs in the nine-county region of the Northwest Arkansas Economic Development District

Startup Junkie Foundation provides no-cost, one-on-one consulting to innovators, entrepreneurs and small businesses owners regardless of industry or stage. Startup Junkie consultants engage with clients anywhere from idea creation and validation, to pivoting, scaling and exiting.

Startup Junkie Foundation consultants are available for consulting via video chat or by phone in Benton, Washington, Carroll, Madison, Boone, Newton, Searcy, Marion and Baxter counties. A free consulting meeting can be scheduled online

“While we are still committed to serving new and existing clients in Washington and Benton counties, we are excited to partner with the EDA to expand our service area to the greater Northwest Arkansas region,” said Startup Junkie Foundation Executive Director Taylor Hasley. “This funding allows us to put a specific focus on entrepreneurs located in rural communities where free resources partners like Startup Junkie Foundation are less common. These services are offered to the community at no cost in an effort to democratize innovation, lower barriers to entrepreneurship and equip every aspiring entrepreneur with the tools and resources they need to succeed, regardless of race, gender or socioeconomic status. The expanded service is paid for in large part by CARES Act grant funding with additional assistance from Rural LISC.

To amplify impact within the community, Startup Junkie Foundation also hopes to partner with any individuals or community organizations in the nine-county service area that is interested in helping promote entrepreneurship and innovation. 

Common consultation services include, but are not limited to: 

·      Lean startup methodology 

·      Budget development and financial forecasts 

·      Customer development methodology

·      Technology commercialization

·      Risk management methodologies

·      Leadership and team development

·      SBIR/STTR grant assistance

·      General management counseling

Startup Junkie Foundation also hosts, co-hosts or facilitates more than 200 events a year geared toward inspiring, educating and connecting entrepreneurs and small business owners.
