University of Arkansas Seeks Students to Help Local Startups

Jul 9, 2020

The University of Arkansas Walton College students have the opportunity to work directly with the local entrepreneurial community through the Venture Intern Program. The benefits of this program are two fold; students can implement their knowledge from the classroom to help make integral startup decisions for the business, and startups receive early-stage assistance in their initiative from skillful students.

This paid internship is open to University of Arkansas students who are full-time sophomores, juniors or seniors for the fall 2020 semester and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. The semester program requires a commitment of at least 15 hours a week working with the startup, a minimum of five workshops and two check-in sessions with fellow students in the Venture Program.

Due to COVID-19 precautions, the program may be completed face-to-face or virtually. The deadline to apply is July 24, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. Click here to view the student application

The Venture Intern Program is looking to partner with scaleable organizations (five years or younger) that are willing to mentor students to participate in project-based work, team discussions and the finance process. Interested startups should submit an application detailing their organization’s needs by July 24, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. Click here to view the organization application.
