Northwest Arkansas to Celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week

Startup Junkie Foundation is hosting a series of events next week during Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) with the goal of promoting entrepreneurship in the Northwest Arkansas community. GEW is an annual initiative designed to celebrate and empower entrepreneurs in countries, states, and communities.

“For us here at Startup Junkie, promoting entrepreneurship and empowering entrepreneurs is an everyday occurrence,” said Caleb Talley, Startup Junkie director of marketing and events. “We’re excited for the opportunity to partner with the Global Entrepreneurship Network for GEW in an effort to reach more would-be entrepreneurs, provide more resources and cultivate more creative connections.”

Startup Junkie Foundation has partnered with Conductor, the University of Arkansas’ Bessie B. Moore Center for Economic Education, Economics Arkansas, and others to host a series of events that will provide both instruction and inspiration to innovators and entrepreneurs during GEW.

“Entrepreneurs fuel our collective economic engine not only by creating jobs; but by building tools, strategies and platforms that become acquired and adopted by enterprise businesses,” said Graham Cobb, President/CEO, Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce. “Building the innovation mind-set takes a commitment to practice and repetition.  Global Entrepreneurship Week celebrates the commitment by makers and builders, as well as the commitment by the organizations supporting this valuable ecosystem. The Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to be a part of this community and we’re grateful to have an opportunity to endeavor in this valuable team-work.”

Arkansas is a leader in the United States with the most events planned. GEW is providing the state of Arkansas with a national and worldwide platform to showcase local entrepreneurial talent and organizations, while providing their business community with vital resources and activities to help them grow and thrive.
