Fundación Startup Junkie se está asociando con el Centro Bessie Moore de Educación Económica de la Universidad de Arkansas, Logros juveniles de Arkansas y Economía de Arkansas para organizar una serie de eventos virtuales a nivel estatal sobre “Cultura de startups en el aula”.
La primera sesión virtual a nivel estatal invita a los maestros de Arkansas a escuchar y aprender de algunos de los empresarios más innovadores y emocionantes del estado con el objetivo de inspirarlos a inspirar a sus estudiantes a ser la próxima generación de fundadores de empresas emergentes de Arkansas.
This is a four-part program that will introduce Arkansas teachers to some of the state’s most interesting and innovative founders. Beginning on November 10, we will learn about entrepreneurs who built businesses inspired by Arkansas – Natural State Founders. We’ll hear stories from founders who have built businesses dedicated to natural beauty of the Arkansas outdoors, businesses that serve cyclists and adventurers, and some that simply highlight what all the state has to offer.
This session will feature recorded conversations with several Arkansas entrepreneurs, and a few of those founders will be in attendance to take your questions, discuss their journeys in more detail, and help you spark curiosity in your students when it comes to entrepreneurship. Videos and sessions will be available for you to share with your students. The session will conclude with some trivia for participants!
Sessions are from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and will be conducted over Zoom. You must register to receive a Zoom link and password.
These are provided by Startup Junkie, Bessie B. Moore Center for Economic Education, Economía de Arkansas, y Junior Achievement. Entrepreneurial activities will be provided along with a book on entrepreneurship. Inspire the next level of entrepreneurial thinkers.

On Nov. 17, we’ll hear stories from entrepreneurs who were inspired to build companies to address needs and solve problems most important to them. Startup features include a bakery that trains those with intellectual disabilities critical job skills, a former corporate employee who’s helping teams communicate through improv, a European-trained chef who decided to bring her skills back home, a serial entrepreneur who’s using his network to help underserved small businesses, and more.
The second session in this series will be a part of Semana mundial del emprendimiento, a week-long celebration of entrepreneurship across 170 countries!

Spring 2021 Sessions – The next two sessions in our virtual Startup Culture in the Classroom series will take place in Spring 2021. The first will highlight our community’s incredible entrepreneurs of color, and the second will highlight entrepreneurs who are shaking up their respective industries will new spins on existing products and services.
